Jeff Bateman joined the Battalion scouting staff in 2015 as an area scout focusing on the ETA and Ottawa.

Jeff was a member of the inaugural Brampton Battalion team after being selected in the third round of the 1998 OHL Priority Selection. He played three seasons for the Battalion under current coach Stan Butler.

During his time in the OHL, Jeff was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Jeff signed an entry level contract with the Stars and played three professional seasons.

After completing his NHL contract, Jeff played for St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick where he competed in the AUS for three years; earning an undergraduate Bachelors Degree in Criminology.

Jeff works for the Government of Canada, and is also a respected skills and skating instructor in Southeastern Ontario.
