A late Ottawa 67’s comeback attempt fell short as the North Bay Battalion rode out a 4-3 home ice win behind two-goal performances from David Maier (1, 2) and Matthew Struthers (4, 5). Christian Propp made 41 saves to backstop to help the heavily outshot Troops shake a four-game slide without the presence of Stan Butler behind the bench. Veteran captain Justin Brazeau chipped in three assists while Brad Chenier recorded two helpers. The 67’s had goals from Quinn Yule (2), Tye Felhaber (5) and Noel Hoefenmayer (2) as they outshot the Battalion 44-26. North Bay improves to 2-4-0-0 while Ottawa falls to .500 at 3-3-0-0.
